Lorenz, MarkMark Lorenz studied Software Development in Berlin, Germany. Initially, he worked as a full-stack developer in various projects, mainly in the JavaEE environment. Later he specialized in backend and database programming. Various positions, among others as a Lead Developer and as a Test Manager, gave him a deep insight into the problems of programmers in the efficient handling of databases. This led him to start holding workshops on effective and efficient database queries. Today Mark Lorenz works mainly in the field of public transport. There, high-performance databases are an essential part of digitisation. He used many of the problems, that arise in this work, for his book "Advanced PostgreSQL Querying".
