Alexa von Heyden wurde 1978 in Bonn geboren und lebt in Berlin, wo sie ihr Studium an der Universität der Künste (UdK) abschloss. Sie arbeitete als Mode-Journalistin und Bloggerin für Journelles, Fräulein, Gala, Financial Times/how to spend it, Vanity Fair, Stern, Stylebook und Zitty. 2007 gründete sie ihr Schmuck- und Accessoires-Label vonhey. Im Sommer 2012 eröffnete der erste Shop in Berlin.
