Dr. Gerald Islebe a PhD from University of Amsterdam with more than 70 papers on paleoecology and tropical plant ecology. He has 16 years of experience in the Yucatan Peninsula with a highest level in the Mexican National System of Researchers (N3). Dr. Sophie Calmé a PhD from Laval University with more than 40 scientific papers on animal ecology and conservation, and plant ecophysiology. She is a author of 5 books, being 3 of them as editor. She also has 15 years of experience in the Yucatan Peninsula and is a Member of the Mexican National System of Researchers.
