Autoren-Porträt
Wenguo Cui is a full professor at the Shanghai Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics, Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, China. He is currently the group leader of Regenerative Biomaterials. His scientific interests are focused on the development of novel biomaterials and nanomaterials for tissue regeneration, drug delivery and disease treatment. So far, he has published more than 130 peer-reviewed papers in international journals (H=38), edited one book and contributed 9 book chapters. Besides, he has won the prize of Fundamental Bone Research Scholar in Chinese Medical Association, the first prize of Scientific and Technological Progress of Shanghai, the second prize of Outstanding Achievement Award in Science Research in the Ministry of Education twice and Chinese Medicine Award and Huaxia Medicine Award, Chinese government and so on. Xin Zhao is Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong SAR, China. She obtained her PhD at University College London, UK and postdoc training at Harvard University, USA before joining PolyU. She is dedicated to Translational Regenerative Medicine, integrating multi-disciplinary approaches including material science, cell biology and medicine to modulate cell microenvironments, control cell behaviors and generate tissue-engineered organs, for addressing clinical issues. So far she has published more than 80 articles in leading journals. Shen Liu is a Professor at the Department of Orthopaedics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Affiliated Sixth People's Hospital, China. He obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at Department of Orthopaedics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Affiliated Sixth People's Hospital and his postdoctor degree in Johns Hopkins University, USA. His major is orthopedics including reconstruction of tendon adhesion, soft tissue defects, bone defects and cartilage defects using clinical treatment and tissue engineering.
