The study thus contributes to a critical understanding of racism and classism, its cultural representations and its underlying social processes.

Schmitt, MarkMark Schmitt is a postdoctoral Stuart Hall Fellow at TU Dortmund University, where he teaches British Cultural Studies. His research interests include British and Irish literature and film, cultural theory as well as discourses of social and racial abjection.
