More than twenty essays are approaching the "Theology of the Old Testament" from anthropological, ethical, historical-critical, archaeological and literary aspects. They are arranged around the five above-named core areas, whereupon topical, hermeneutical and socio-critical questions are addressed. Many of the articles are related to the view of reception history and reception aesthetics. They are revealing the diverse potential of biblical texts. The international cooperation project is demonstrating a multidimensional method of approach for studying the Bible. It will bring to light less considered aspects of interpretation enriched by contemporary Jewish interpretation. All these research aspects are intrinsically tied to the name of Old Testament scholar, Jutta Hausmann, who has been engaged in Budapest for decades.
