The use of chemically derived nematicides will become prohibited not only due to their increased resistance to the target pathogen but also for their environmental hazards. To reduce such drawbacks, there has been increased attention towards the use of flora and fauna and such flora and fauna offer an effective, safe, persistent, natural and durable protection against crop pest. It has been reported that natural enemies attack eggs of Meloidogyne spp. in the soil and such enemies can be exploited as bioagent for the effective management of Meloidogyne spp. Among them, fungal flora is unique natural enemies for managing the nematodes in soil. Such fungi showed their antagonistic activity like predation, parasitism, and antibiosis etc towards Meloidogyne spp.
