Angelo Albini is currently Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Pavia, Italy. He is active in the field of organic photochemistry, organic synthesis via radical and photoinitiated reactions, applied photochemistry (e. g. photoinduced degradation of pollutants, phototoxicity of drugs); besides research papers, he is coauthor of two books.Maurizio Fagnoni, graduated in Pavia in 1992 with a thesis on the synthetic applications of photo-SET reactions under the guidance of Prof. Angelo Albini. He is an assistant researcher at the university of Pavia and his current research is focused on widening the scope of photocatalysis and phenyl cation chemistry.

Rezension zu „Handbook of Synthetic Photochemistry “
"Given its organization and practical emphasis, I believe that this book would make an outstanding addition to the library of any synthetic organic chemist. It should certainly be on the acquisition lists of all institutional libraries." (Journal of the American Chemical Society, November 2010)
