Implications for children, families and educators are discussed, highlighting a need for media literacy and awareness.

Bezaire, KimberlyKimberly Bezaire is an Early Childhood Education Specialist and Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto. Her research interests include children's right to play, language and literacy, and gender studies. She continues to learn and grow through her research, teaching and in parenting her young son.
