Beginning with experimental objects created within the context of Pop Art in the late 1960s, Schnyder has created a significant conceptual oeuvre encompassing photography, sculpture, painting, objects, and installation. In the early 1970s, he created his first paintings and has since produced a vast quantity of small-format series.For the catalogue, Schnyder has selected 41 pictures from the years 1982/83 to 1998 that represent the breadth of his painterly oeuvre in the 1980s and 90s.
