The diminished availability of fossil resources makes the search for renewable bio-based substitutes an urgent matter. Edible seed cakes are used to feed the animals and also as fertilizers while non-edible seed cakes not fit to feed animals can safely be used for generation of bio-fuel and value added chemicals.
