Methodologically, the study pursued qualitative approaches in terms of data collection and design of analysis. Ethical considerations and triangulation techniques were employed to make objective analysis, come up with sound findings and draw valid conclusions. The tools used to collect data were interviews, focus group discussions and document analysis. The book also suggested possible ways through which the Nyangatom social organization could be integrated to the existing local governance structure.

Tesfaye, FirewFirew Tesfaye was born in Southwestern Ethiopia in Derashe-Gidole in 1980. Now Firew is an AssociateResearcher and Lecturer in Arba Minch University. Firew has got a Bachelor Degree in History and MA Degree in Ethiopian Studies from Addis Ababa University. His research interests and focus areas are indigenous governance and knowledge systems.
