Being human, the human temperament and human states of mind - these are the key themes to which the artist Ute Bauer gives shape in her sculptures.
In their subtle tension between potential movement and equilibrium, her works invite us to linger meditatively in their presence. True to the principle of inner necessity, Ute Bauer finds supple and perpetually self-renewing metaphors for various aspects of the human potential. Her wellspring of inspiration is her observation of all things human. She also finds characteristic properties in descriptions of substances that have undergone homeopathic proving. Ute Bauer affords us a glimpse of them in her short poetic texts that spark her artistic creations.
