The hardship for most people in achieving this dream is caused by trying to chase it alone, without any company and help. The beauty of the Steinbeck novel arises in the unique friendship between the two main characters George and Lennie who help each other in their quest for their dream. The thesis will introduce the adventures, desires and dreams of the characters in Of Mice and Men, especially those of George and Lennie?s. The two migrant workers are so close to fulfilling the American Dream they had been dreaming for a long time, that not only the other characters but also the reader believes it for some moments.
