In this book, the authors revise the concepts used so far in the context of changing Polish and German Christianity and its secularisation (and de-secularisation), referring to new sacred spaces and redefining the old ones. About the editors: Maciej Kowalewski and Anna Ma?gorzata Królikowska (both from the University of Szczecin) work together on the research project entitled "Resacralisation and desacralisation of urban spaces. Transforming sacred places in Poland and Germany". Maciej Kowalewski has a PhD in sociology; he teaches and conducts research in the fields of urban studies. Anna M. Królikowska also has a PhD in sociology; the scope of her interests embraces religion, culture, politics and their references to individual and collective consciousness.
