Klappentext zu „Unser tägliches Brot D A CH Nasz codzienny chleb PL Our daily bread UK “
Im Westen Deutschland, im Osten Russland. Polen lag immer dazwischen. In the west Germany, in the east Russia. Poland was always in between. Russia conquered the entire Polish territory from 1815. The Russian tsars ruled the country until 1863. The Polish people now rebelled against foreign rule. However, the Russian tsar struck back mercilessly. Over 400 executions were carried out. The administration and the judiciary were completely Russified. Well over 10,000 convictions of forced labor and more than 18,000 people were deported to Siberia. A few decades later, in 1939, Hitler invaded the Polish country. No wonder if the Polish people cannot be sure. They had to give up their identity to Russia and Germany over many decades. It looks better now. For years now, from my home in Franconia, I have been watching US transport planes fly from Ramstein Air Base in Rhineland-Palatinate to Poland almost every day at around. Hopefully the peace will last a very, very long time.
Autoren-Porträt von Loup Paix, Powerful Glory, Rudi Friedrich
Because the bath water was too hot at first, my grandma added cold water from the tapThe faucet and the pouring were the only water point in the house. More water drinkers and taps could be found in the stable and in the yardWhen bathing, the temperature was often regulated by pouring hot or cold waterAt the end of the bathing process, washing your hair was always a special procedureThe shampoo came out of a small plastic pillow. One tip of the pillow was cut off with scissors and then when the foam was pressed, it spilled not only onto my hair, but mostly onto my face. Most of all, I was always afraid for my eyes. Every time I shouted: give me a washOften we were allowed to eat a piece of warm, freshly baked cake before going to bed.
