This is Mike Shepherd's ninth book published by iUniverse. He is retired from employment with the State of Illinois where he worked as a public information officer, newsletter editor and speech writer. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a correspondent in the Air Force for Armed Forces Radio after graduating from Armed Forces Journalism school. He received an award from Time/Life publications for meritorious reporting at the infamous siege of Khe Sanh in 1968.
