Tom Oathout is a native of Cranford, New Jersey. He is an alumnus of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and the University of Delaware. He served in the army as a Special Agent in Military Intelligence with the 173rd Airborne Brigade from 1970 to 1971. His writings in Vietnam have appeared in various news publications, history books, an off-broadway play, and on the New York's Vietnam Veterans Memorial.He is also an international award winning photographer.
