In the book, Zack learns it cant hurt to try until you succeed as he learns the enjoyment of trying and its results.
Over the years, Sensei Jason has heard from parents looking to enroll their child into karate that they want their child to gain confidence and learn discipline and respect. This book is his answer to those parents. As a child learns to try and try again, they learn they can do it, and parents will see their childs confidence grow. Sensei Jason also tells parents to use that same principle of trying their best each and every day to help grow overall in life.

Autoren-Porträt von Jason Adams
Sensei Jason Adams began learning karate in 1988 as a young child and then teaching in 2000, while serving in the United States Air Force. Sensei Jason is a fourth-degree black belt in Okinawan shorinryu and student of Sensei Koei Nohara in Okinawa, Japan. He also is a member of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) National Karate Program and a certified Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) double-goal coach. Sensei Jason and his wife own a karate school, Goldsboro Okinawa Karatedo, in North Carolina and have taught hundreds of children and adults throughout the years, including their own two daughters. Prior to opening their dojo in 2008, Sensei Jason began working on the idea of writing a karate childrens book based on the teaching principles of karate and his life skills.
In 2010, Sensei Jasons oldest daughter, Hannah, began illustrating the book at only eight years old. Hannah has been training since she was only four years old and is an AAU National Karate champion and AAU Junior Olympics Karate champion. In 2016, Hannah made the AAU/USA National Karate Team and competed at the World Union Karate-do Federation World Championships in Dublin, Ireland. Sensei Jason and his wife teach their daughters and students that, through giving their best effort to learn and apply themselves, they can accomplish great things.
