This is Adrian Coburg's extended and comprehensive transcription book of song scores with origin of the Afro-Cuban folkloric heritance. The Cantos Afro-Cubanos are sung in the manner of call and response. Originally from various ethnic sources such as: Bantu, Iyesa, Arara. His collection also contains various songs of Rumba Cubana such as: Yambú, Guaguancó, Columbia, Rumba Tonada, Guarapachangera. The transcription book contains songs influenced by Carnaval-styles of Habanera or Oriente and others influenced by Afro-Haitian style such as Tumba Francesa and many others.

Professional musician, drummer and percussionist 1955 - 2011 Adrian Coburg, a professional drummer and percussionist, worked and performed with musicians, theatre groups and artists since 1984. Based in Bern, Switzerland, he established his own music school Percusion Afro-Cubana, where he taught Rhythmic Solfeggio and Afro-Cuban percussionAdrian Coburg was the leader of his group Okantomi, which performed traditional Afro-Cuban drum melodies, songs and dances for many years. Alongside his engagement in Afro-Cuban percussion, Adrian Coburg played as a drummer and guitar player in several music groups.
Education
From 1987 onwards he spent considerable time in Cuba studying and researching Afro-Cuban percussion and Afro-Cuban music. He was trained by many master drummers and master singers and further developed his knowledge through the study and transcription of percussion and songs from records.
Since 1994 Adrian Coburg studied Bata drumming and Songs of the Yoruba. He was trained by Julio Davalos called "Awo Chadeé", who is one of the greatest Yoruban singers and Bata master drummers of Cuba. As a highly respected Santero he preserves and transmits the sacred songs and Bata drum melodies of Yoruban culture in Cuba. He elected Adrian Coburg to play, sing and document the complete anthology of the Oru Seco, Oru Cantado, Rezos and Cantos y Toques especiales.
In 1999 Adrian Coburg received the "Juramento" as tamborero in Havana, Cuba. He is "Omo aña ewue Osain". His name is "Otruponka".
