Zhao Lin's passion for history, particularly medieval history and ancient civilizations, has always been a significant part of his life. Inspired by his interest in the Mongol Empire's military, he decided to write this historical novel about Batu and the Mongol Empire. In addition to historical fiction, Zhao Lin enjoys writing fantasy stories and exploring subjects related to the military, animals, and outer space. Some of his favorite authors include J.R.R. Tolkien, who has had a profound influence on his writing style. He is also an avid fan of Star Wars, Tolkien's literature, Harry Potter, and the Chronicles of Narnia, which have left a lasting impression on his passion in writing.

In his free time, Zhao Lin can be found reading books or working on his next writing project. Although he considers writing to be a hobby, he plans to write more fiction and historical novels in the future. He has also written several fantasy short stories, which he hopes to publish someday.
