Columbus, Indiana native David Sechrest is the creator of HistoricColumbusIndiana.org. He also helped found the Historic Columbus Day Celebrations, first held in 2006. In 2007, Mayor Fred Armstrong proclaimed April 14, 2007 as David Sechrest Day.
