It introduces the concepts with concrete examples from Cameroon and offers the first qualitative and quantitative analysis of hedging, meta- discourse, evaluation, and modality as well as lexical bundles and textual variation. The book closes with a summary of the main issues and suggestions for teaching academic writing in the national context.
