In The Blind Dream-Chaser, Ray McAllister shows how he managed to realize his seemingly impossible dreams. In 2010 he became the first totally blind person to earn a doctorate in Hebrew Bible.
In 2016, Ray earned one of the first prizes of the National Federation of the Blind's Jacob Bolotin Award, which is thought of as the Nobel Prize in blindness. He earned the prize for his work on making biblical languages (Hebrew and Greek) fully accessible for the blind.
