George Washington, An Astrological Memoir (ePub)

This is a book about George Washington's life and history as evaluated, judged and analyzed by the discipline of astrology. Of all those who participated in the founding of America Washington was its single most important player. He took command of and built an army that would go up against the British. In crisis after crisis he held this army together, when there was no one else who could have done so. He helped to found a republic that has lasted for over two centuries. Then, under the laws of a new constitution, he served as president of this republic, and firmly cemented its new laws and customs into place. While he saved everything he wrote from childhood on, and these archives make up the foundation of much good scholarship, there is much we do not know about him. What was his father like? His father died when he was ten years old. Scholarship does not tell us much. Some historians speculate that it was a distant bond. Washington's astrology implies that he had a close and nurturing relationship with his father. Some historians imply that since Washington never had training in a formal university, like Jefferson or Adams, he was really not all that effective in thinking things through, and that in order to get his decisions right, he had to rely on brilliant subordinates. This is untrue. Washington's grand trine in air signs gave him an illumination of mind in matters of war; it conferred on him a total understanding of political issues, when he chaired the Constitutional convention; and it imparted to him a deftness of decision and execution as president. His profound intuition led him to choose the most capable sub-ordinates in America. Alexander Hamilton was one of his associates, and I discuss in the book why they were probably working together in past lives. He did not always choose the right person for the right job, but he chose enough to make him one of the greatest figures in history. There are many indications of that gift, that is, astrological reasons which are laid out in this book. LARGER CYCLESHistory takes place in the framework of stellar influence. A synodic cycle composed of Pluto and Neptune will mark the rise and fall of civilizations. A shorter synodic cycle, that of Jupiter/Saturn, one that takes roughly twenty years to complete, marked the American Revolution, which lasted from 1763 to 1783, when the Treaty of Paris was signed between England and the new USA. The unfolding progress of that synod can trace the evolution of the Revolution. For example, when the Boston tea party took place in Boston in Dec. 1773, Jupiter and Saturn were in opposition, and the revolution was beginning to flame into hot war. CHARTS OF THE FOUNDING: USA AND CONSTITUTION CHARTSCharts of the founding of any new nation, whether of the Soviet Union (November 7, 1917), or of the founding of England (Dec. 25, 1066, noon, in London), will be valid for as long as their governments last. The two most important charts of the Founding are the Declaration Chart (July 4, 1776, Philadelphia, 5:30 pm, Sibley) and the Constitutional Chart (September 17, 1787 Philadelphia, 4:00 pm). The Declaration chart features a Rx Mercury. In an event chart, Retro Mercury implies a looking inward; in this case, it was a treatise on the philosophical application of eternal laws, or first principles, that apply in all times to all humankind. The Declaration addresses laws like the rights of life, liberty and justice, all of which derive from a Higher Power. In part, the Declaration chart describes the spiritual meaning of the founding. It is as powerful as is the 1066 chart for England. Both charts retain the same power now as when they were cast. The Constitutional chart contains a synodic conjunction of Pluto and Saturn. This synod describes how power is handled in America, how it is to be controlled, and how it occasionally will destroy elites when it is misused. Thus went the Federalist Party. This book contains many such charts.
