There must be blood shed for forgiveness of sin, and Jesus didn't need forgiveness because He never sinned. It was shed for you; it was shed for me. He loves you that much, enough to die for you!
There is no amount of books that I could write, no amount of money I could give to a worthy cause, no amount of good works I could do to pay for my sin.
Romans 3:23 tells us that we all have sinned and fall short. Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
