Amreen Toor holds a Master's degree in MassCommunication from Panjab University along with a
Diploma in Creative Writing from IGNOU. She worked
as an assistant editor for the Limca Book of Records and
then ventured into the field of curriculum and product
development for Junior and Middle programmes for
schools affiliated to both Central and state education
boards. Working as part of a vendor team for Google,
she started out in the vast and ever-expanding field of
localization: writing and translating content in Hindi for
various Google products.
Presently, she works as a freelance translator and
transcreator, providing subtitles in both Hindi and
English for movies and TV series for entertainment giants
like Netflix, Amazon Prime and independent production
houses. An ardent dog lover, she lives in Gurugram with
her husband and two children.
