After accidentally killing her cheating husband(Calvin) and his paramour(Suzanne) and getting away with it, Phyllis then makes the biggest mistake of her life by confiding this hefty secret to her best friend(Daphne), whom shares it with her husband(Lucas), who happens to be Calvin's only cousin. Lucas then confronts Phyllis about it and threatens to tell the police. Frightened, Phyllis heads to his house just after midnight, (drunk and stoned), to try and beg for his silence. And then the next morning, soberly minded, she remembers that both Lucas and Daphne were dead when she left their home. She doesn't remember herself killing them, but she do remember a tattooed left foot of a woman hiding behind the kitchen counter. A week later, a very strange coincidence occurs. Phyllis finds herself a new boyfriend(Rich). The two become lovers. Rich then takes Phyllis home to meet his family, one of them being an aloof, surly woman called Gail. That's when Phyllis notices a similar tattoo on Gail's left foot. And that's when she begins investigating. She finds out that Gail has been dating Lucas in secret. She finds out that Gail was obsessed with Lucas, she wanted him to divorce his wife and start a family with her. Phyllis suspects Gail of being a psychopath and a murderer. And all she needs to do is prove it and send Gail to jail. Although that is one thing very difficult to achieve, mostly because Gail herself suspects Phyllis of being the main murderer too. The two females become the worst enemies, until one of them is murdered by the other. This is when we discover who the real killer is. This is when we reveal that the killer wasn't who we thought it was.
