He now lives in London and is a full-time writer and freelance journalist, contributing articles to such publications as the Sunday Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, Guardian and International Herald Tribune. His other books include Inside India Today (1976), Black British, White British (1971) and Inside the Middle East (1982).
