Among the many sites that he has visited to research and write about, the St. Clair, Alabama, resident considers Gettysburg to be one of his favorite places.
An avid writer of historical events during the American Civil War, Hall enjoys listening to his favorite pop and country music while working on various projects at home, in addition to writing whenever the mood hits him. He is married to his wife of fifty-six years and they have two daughters and five grandchildren.
