Vor Hellers sechzehntem Geburtstag komponiert, war es Teil des Programms, das er mitauf eine Konzertreisedurch Ungarn (sein Heimatland), Polen und Deutschland nahm. Es ist eines seiner letzten Werke, bevor er sein Leben als reisender Musiker aufgab, und eines der ersten einer produktiven Karriere, die fast 200 Kompositionen umfasst.
