There, in the lavish decor of the newly open "Procope Café", the Countess will reign along side her successful partner, Sir Procope. During her many years at the Versailles court, and notably at the Procope Café, she will encounter famous and notorious people from the king's entourage, and the talented artists of the period, culminating in a collection of numerous anecdotes. Written with intelligence, compassion and cleverness, but with an objective and a truthful eye, her memoirs will surely enlighten us in the affairs of the heart.
