"Mosella" - is a work by ancient Roman poet Ausonius (latin- Decimus Magnus Ausonius; October 310 - October 394). "mosella" - is the most famous work expressed in verse by ancient Roman poet,in which the landscape lyric poetry is combined with the panegyric. The Mosel - is a river in modern Germany. Ausonius describes his voyage along this river, along the unknown and exotic locality for his compatriots. The poem consists of two main parts. In the first part Ausonius gives a detailed description of the fish, living in the Mosel, their habits and taste. In the second part the poet makes the readers get acquainted with the description of the villas on the river shores, their beauty and variety. The descriptions of the nymphs` river entertainments and of the river competitions between the rowers are interesting as well.
