The next day, Carolyn's ciesta turns as sour as balsamic vinegar when she finds her lovely companion drowned in the hotel's pool. Could it have been suicide? The buffalo mozzarella? Or the president of the chemical company who just happened to be Paolina's boss-with benefits?

She lives in El Paso, Texas, with her husband, a chemistry professor and chairman at the University of Texas at El Paso. She travels widely and frequently with her husband throughout America and Europe, enjoying new places, good food, opera, and scientific conferences.
