Baaba is a beautiful young female teacher. She is married to Kobina Esan, a middle school certificate holder currently trading in second-hand car parts at Abose Okine, a suburb in Accra and they have two children. As a well-informed woman, with unspoken confusions that rule her thoughts, marriage to Kobina is the last thing she wanted but for her father's insistence. Therefore, gaining admission to the university also meant an opportunity to escape from what she deemed marital enslavement. On campus, she treads the dangerous path by dating one man after the other. This results in the eventual dissolution of her marriage with Esan. At the end of her studies, Baaba divorces Esan and later marries Saani. The couple relocates to America where they get married and have some more children.

D. in Literature and Philosophy in English from the University Education, Winneba (UEW) and University of South Africa (UNISA) respectively. Juliana has a passion for studies in gender-related issues, and African and children's literature.
