This book is the first in a series written to help children through some of their difficult, but often common, real life issues. In this story, Sara's fun life with her friends gets turned upside down when they suddenly start being mean to her. She finds herself an outcast for no apparent reason.

Sara goes to her grandpa for advice. From him, Sara learns the likely reason why they were mean, and how to handle the situation going forward. It is advice she can utilize for the rest of her life.

Carl and Allison are a husband and wife team. Together they create children's books, with Carl writing the stories and Allison creating the illustrations. They produce stories that help children through some of the 'trying times' of little kid life. Children's problems are often dismissed or minimized as insignificant by adults. We say things like, "Oh, it will be ok", and give it no further thought. But to the child, their problems are as big and important as ours. We want to show them how to handle those troublesome situations. Carl has a Master Photographer Degree, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin., and an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences.
