When Marcus Jackson meets his new neighbor Brooklyn Wilson, he's instantly smitten. But nervous about making a move, he comes up with the perfect plan: Netflix & Chill. Brooklyn tells him that she wants to watch Love Jones, which happens to be his favorite movie. They settle on the couch to watch. As they spend more time together, they fall deeper in love, sharing laughs and intimate moments that only bring them closer. But when Marcus's ex-girlfriend comes back into the picture, he's forced to confront his past and the mistakes he's made. Will he be able to overcome his old habits and make things work with Brooklyn, or will he let his past ruin his chance at true love?
