Al'Bora is a nation on the brink of war. Pitted against a country of savage dragon-trainers called the Xeng, they need all their armies ready for when the battle breaks out. But a new threat is building on a different front: a man calling himself the Ocean Spinner. A powerful rogue mage and a pirate, he uses his powers to ravage fleets and flood cities.
Al'Bora's solution is to send out Sitor and his mentor, Leon, to hunt down the Ocean Spinner. Along the way they join a mysterious vigilante, a vengeful assassin, and a shy mage. However, the Ocean Spinner proves to be even more dangerous than they originally thought, and they must turn to drastic measures to bring him down...
