Zidane is investigating the era of Salim I, the Ottoman Sultan, who opened a new page in the history of Egypt. The author mastered a wonderful balance between the public and private side, linking the era of the Islamic caliphate and the Ottoman period in Egypt. But this book was not limited to politics only, but also deepened in the social, economic, financial and civilizational aspects, hinting the great march of the historical march of this great country.
