Although in her real life of twists and turns she realizes that it is just that which keeps her life in check. As her life and the lives of others unfold there is a real life struggle for control of infrastructure of local and state governments. Local, state and federal governments are having to find new solutions to problems that have surfaced due blurred institutional lines and the lack of respect and funding of local and state authority. People have to find a reason within themselves to care. Pauline is thrown into the midst of everything that is going on when her neighbor, Bert, comes to her rescue and reunites their friendship. But then she becomes the target of something much more sinister as worlds unites and a new era begins.

I am a self-published author, business owner and consultant. I am now an empty nester with a little more time on my hands to write. I graduated from George Mason University with a BA in Psychology, which comes in handy from time to time. I have recently moved back to North Carolina where I have lived much of my life with my family. I enjoy writing from the heart and taking from the basket of life as we know it.
