The Swedish version of this book was presented in 2007 with a new method to stop worrying that is the opposite of distracting and soothing techniques. The method aims at training the brain to decrease the production of discomforting, worrying and intrusive thoughts. Ph D Erik Andersson, Karolinska Institutet Stockhom has conducted two large scientific studies in 2017 and 2020. He found it most powerful.

Olle Wadström is a Swedish licensed psychologist, a specialist in clinical psychology and pedagogic psychology and, an approved CBT supervisor with 49 years' experience of anxiety patients. The work with OCD, social phobia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder led him to seek a more effective way to treat unnecessary worry and broodings and over-thinking.He has written several books and in 2007 he presented his treatment for rumination and worry. The treatment has become very popular and the Swedish version of his book 'Quit Ruminating and Brooding' has sold in over 35000 copies since.
Olle Wadström is currently working as a CBT-therapist, a counselor, an author. and teacher/lecturer in the company Psykologinsats AB.
In an article at www.quitruminating.com he has published the scientific base for this book and the treatment
