Produktinformationen zu „Redox Proteins in Supercomplexes and Signalosomes (PDF)“
This book is one of the first to explore the key role played by redox proteins and their interaction network in a wide range of essential cellular processes in all domains of life. The book explains how the mitochondrial respiratory chain is dynamically organized in supercomplexes even under physiological conditions. It also addresses the impact of supercomplex assembly on mitochondrial morphology, physiology, and biogenesis to shed light on the molecular mechanisms of pathological situations, including aging.
Autoren-Porträt
Ricardo O. Louro is the leader of the Inorganic Biochemistry and NMR Laboratory at the Instituto de Tecnologia Quimica e Biologica (ITQB) Antonio Xavier of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Dr. Louro is a member of the Portuguese Biochemical Society, the Society for Biological Inorganic Chemistry, and the International Society for Microbial Electrochemical Technologies. His research work focuses on the investigation of the molecular bases for biological electron-transfer phenomena relevant for bioenergetic processes and the applications of this knowledge to blue-, red- or white-biotechnology.Irene Diaz-Moreno is an associate professor of biochemistry and molecular biology in the Instituto de Bioquimica Vegetal y Fotosintesis (IBVF) at the Centro de Investigaciones Cientificas Isla de la Cartuja (cicCartuja). Her past research has focused on molecular recognition between metalloproteins involved in electron-transfer processes and the regulatory mechanisms of mRNA decay by RNA-binding proteins. Dr. Diaz-Moreno is currently developing research projects in biointeractomics as well as on the posttranslational regulation of biological macromolecules.
