My fight against the sex trade and human trafficking to rescue God's daughters. Emma van der Walt is a pastor, mother and wife, and woman of God. She is also the fearless founder of the nonprofit organisation, Brave to Love. They tackle the dark world of sex trade and human trafficking head on to rescue young women from the clutches of evil. These girls are then lovingly cared for and guided as they embark on their new beginnings. Emma and her team work side by side with local and international law enforcement agencies. Together they combat human trafficking and slavery to uncover the corruption and immense suffering that goes on behind closed doors. This is her story and the shocking tales of the lucky ones who survive to escape the hell of human trafficking.
Autoren-Porträt von Emma van der Walt
Emma van der Walt is the founder of Brave to Love, a South African organisation actively opposing human trafficking. She dedicates her life to the rescue and rehabilitation of this industry's victims. Emma gave her life to Jesus at a young age. Her training and involvement with the church resulted in her becoming a pastor at the age of 25 and serving in the ministry alongside her husband for many years. After the birth of their third child she had a radical encounter with God which resulted in her work moving from the church to the streets. Here she began to minister to women caught up in prostitution and human trafficking. Emma reaches out to young girls in dark places and situations and work with volunteers to bring hope and freedom to these women. She works alongside local and international law enforcement agencies to prosecute the traffickers. Emma plays the violin and ukulele on occasion, and resides in Pretoria with her husband and children.
