Autoren-Porträt von Konrad Binienda
Born in 1988 in Ohio, Konrad Binienda represents a generation of XXI Century composers who seek to find their voice more through tonal-centric music than through avant-garde atonality. Brought up in the Polish-American musical tradition, he has been shaped by Chopin and the romantic piano repertoire. Binienda has written music for a variety of ensembles, including solo instruments, chamber, orchestra and voice. He received many accolades for his compositions. For example, he is a laureate of 2016 C. Baldassarre Composer/Performer CIM Competition for his work entitled "Mazurka" for piano, guitar, violin and contrabass. Konrad Binienda is a graduate of the renown Harvard / New England Conservatory Bachelor / Master Joint Degree Program. In 2017, he graduated with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music. In addition to composing, he is a concert pianist and teacher.
