Research Paper (postgraduate) from the year 2016 in the subject Health - Public Health, grade: 1, Egerton University, language: English, abstract: Healthcare reforms in the United States have always been faced with challenges, ranging from the drafting of the concerned policies to their implementation. This is probably the reason as to why the U.S healthcare system has never attained remarkable sustainability, especially through the elimination of health inequalities with the population.
However, ObamaCare has attracted unprecedented political criticism, owing to its cost consequences. Therefore, this paper will provide an overview of the U.S context, in which the Affordable Care Act has attracted political criticism. It will also present the methods used to analyze different perspectives of the issue in regard to political narrative strategies, in which the dominant perspective will discuss the concept on universal healthcare as a reliable public policy.
