Prophetess Lynette Awls have been in ministry for twenty years where she started out as a missionary in the Church of God in Christ. In 2000 she became a licensed Evangelist under the tutelage of Bishop Ernest Hawkins where she received the Apostolic Doctrine at Apostolic Faith Temple located in Youngstown, Ohio. There she met Pastor James Hawkins and in 2006 moved to Toledo OH to help him and his wife start a church by being the church administrator. That same year Evangelist met her husband Charles DeWayne Awls and they were married by Pastor Hawkins on December 29, 2007. On December 31st, 2007, the Lord gave her a sermon called, "The Lord is changing your name." As she was preaching the watch night service God told her she was being elevated to prophetess. Soon after, the Lord told her and her husband to move to Houston, TX where she currently resides. She is now under the tutelage of District Elder David Allen Jr and attends Christ Temple Apostolic Church located at 6202 Lockwood Dr.
