About the Artist
BB Iskwew is a Cree-Métis artist from Treaty 8 territory in northern Alberta, and has family ties in Sawridge Cree Nation and Bigstone Cree Nation. BB Iskwew symbolizes her Cree name, Baby woman, gifted from her kokum at birth with the intention of being a healer, as she whispered "you're going to be a great medicine woman who's going to help people heal." BB Iskwew uses art to share good medicine with the world; sharing messages of light, healing, and hope for a future that is more kind and loving between human beings and Mother Earth as a whole. Art gives us the opportunity to share our story and express it from our creative heart; we all have a story to share that can help uplift ourselves and others. BB Iskwew encourages younger generations to keep using their voice creatively and help heal the earth with their stories.
For my artist name just use BB Iskwew, no need to include Kayla in there, thank you! Also, if possible at the end of my bio can you include (@bb.iskwew) so that people can find my art on instagram!
