Autoren-Porträt von Nina Segal
Nina Segal is a playwright and screenwriter. She was the recipient of the 2022 Playwright's Scheme Award and was shortlisted for the 2020 George Devine Award. Her first play In the Night Time (Before the Sun Rises) opened at the Gate Theatre to critical acclaim and subsequently had productions across Europe. In 2023, Nina's translation of The Good Person of Szechwan was performed at the Lyric Hammersmith and her original play Shooting Hedda Gabler opened at the Rose Theatre, both of which received excellent reviews. In 2024, she was under commission to Dutch National Opera and the RSC. On screen, she has written for The Crown and Hanna. Her short film Capture for the Financial Times has been acclaimed for giving an insight into the issue of online harm to young people and has run alongside debate around the online safety bill.
