It was the year 747 B.C. the Assyrian empire ruled the world. Tiglath Pileser III, with his cruel army of soldiers, witches and Nephilims, the had devastated kings and kingdoms, enslaving thousands of prisoners and sacrificing them to his pagan god Assur. Phoenicia, Egypt, Babylon had fallen at his feet. The other nations secretly make alliances to start a war against the Assyrians; however, some kings seek the emperor's favor submitting to them without resistance, offering tributes of gold, silver, and precious stones.
Israel and Judah, once brothers now enemies on the brink of war. King Pekah, of the Northern lands, allied with Syria to attack King Ahaz, of the Southern lands in Yahrushalayim, who he was living in the palace that King David built, but unlike his ancestor, he had corrupted his heart sacrificing children to the god Baal; hundreds of little ones were tied to the arms of an iron idol while the fire slowly consumed them.
Hezekiah was influenced under the education of two important persons: his father, King Ahaz and the prophet Isaiah. It is not difficult to imagine the doubts and confusion crossing through his heart. The constant wars with Israel, Damascus, and the Philistines, the unconditional submission of Judah to the Assyrian empire, and the idolatry of his father, left him no other option to defy his destiny.
