Chased by his grandmother's magic jackals, Yaya embarks on a race against time. His only help? A brown bear he befriends through the aid of a special elixir. Together they hurry to find the first element: the sacred waters of Anahita.

"The Springs of Anahita'' is the first book in the Yaya and the Water Wars trilogy. The story reflects the traditions, mythology, and religion of the Sasanian era of ancient Persia.
